What is Académie Dectro?
Académie Dectro is the electrolysis training programme of Dectro International, the Quebec company that manufactures Apilus devices. Dectro has been in business since 1978.
Partner academies teach the same programme and are listed in the official Académie Dectro register. You can look up any school in the register at academiedectro.com.
View the partner academy registerWhy electrolysis
The only method of permanent hair removal.
Laser targets the dark pigment in hair, but grey, blonde and red hair has almost none of it. Electrolysis uses an electric current, so hair colour makes no difference.
That is why clients turn to electrolysis clinics after laser treatment, while specialists are still in short supply.
How the training works
From online theory to your diploma
-
01
Online theory
You study on the Académie Dectro platform at your own pace, from home, without giving up your job. You complete the theory before the practical training.
-
02
Practical training at the academy
You work on models using Apilus devices, in a small group, under the guidance of an instructor.
-
03
Step-by-step pathway
You begin with the basic course and can start working once you have completed it. The next stages develop your technique: the Blend method and facial treatments.
-
04
Académie Dectro diploma
Graduates who complete the full pathway and pass the exams receive the Académie Dectro diploma.
